STARK Danmark launches a new shop concept

STARK Groups Danish business unit, STARK Danmark, will open the doors to two new shops in Copenhagen as part of their new shop concept in early December 2020. A third will follow at the beginning of the new year. The new stores will offer a carefully selected product range that matches the immediate needs of the professional craftsmen and DIY-segment in Copenhagen, the Capital of Denmark. Customers can also get fast delivery of product not available in the small shops.

The concept challenges the notion that a builders’ merchant should be a huge branch located in an industrial area outside the city; it can also be a smaller store located in the city where people live and thrive and where the professional builders work.

“Our new concept is a natural response to the ongoing urbanization. The big cities continue to grow, and thus there is less room for large branches. By opening smaller stores that fit into the local environment, we can continue to be present where many of our customers live and work” says Poul Willadsen Commercial Director in STARK Danmark.

In line with STARK Danmark’s focus on sustainability, the local shops will offer a wide range of sustainable products, such as Nordic Eco-labelled doors. The interior will consist of furniture from recycled furniture and GENTRÆ, STARK Danmark’s own concept for recycling surplus wood from construction sites.

Initially, the concept includes three new stores in Copenhagen, and more are on the way.
