STARK Group opens first purpose-build ‘Branch of the Future’ in the UK
STARK Group’s British brand Jewson has opened the doors to its first purpose-built ‘Branch of the Future’ in Farnborough, UK. The concept brings innovative features inspired by the Group’s successful branch concepts in the Nordic countries, Germany and Austria. This development is part of an ongoing journey to optimise and modernise the branch network across the UK.
The ‘Branch of the Future’ concept in Farnborough introduces an expanded product range, with inventory increased by approximately 20% compared to a standard branch, aimed at providing tradespeople with easier and quicker access to a wider selection of materials. The optimised layout and streamlined processes are specifically tailored to support small and medium-sized tradespeople, offering a comprehensive range and availability of products and efficient service to support their projects from start to finish.
John Carter, CEO of STARK Building Materials UK, says:
“We’re on a mission to become the most trusted builders’ merchant for UK tradespeople, and with our new ‘Branch of the Future’ concept, we have a brilliant opportunity to create something that we believe is truly unique and valuable, with the backing of STARK Group, Europe’s largest distributor of heavy building materials.”
The Farnborough branch is part of a broader investment program by STARK Group to optimise the branch network in the UK. This includes purpose-built facilities like the Farnborough branch as well as extensive refurbishments, such as the newly refurbished branch in Bridgwater, which reopened earlier this year after repurposing a former Jewson Civils Frazer location.
