STARK Group ranked first place in Tax Governance Rating

STARK Group has secured first place in Økonomisk Ugebrev's annual Tax Governance Rating for large Danish companies, achieving the maximum score of 12 out of 12 points across all seven assessment criteria.

The annual rating evaluates tax transparency and governance among 50 of Denmark's largest listed and unlisted companies and measures the extent to which companies disclose information about their tax affairs and governance practices.

For STARK Group, openness and transparency are an integral part of how the business operates and a key element in being a responsible corporate citizen. The Group actively promotes transparency by providing access to information about its business activities. This includes the company’s tax affairs.

This approach has now been recognised with a first-place ranking for the third time, and marks the fourth consecutive year in which the company has been among the top-rated companies.

Thomas Ahle, Group CFO at STARK Group, says:

We operate in the distribution of building materials, but in the long run, we only survive if our customers, colleagues and the world around us trust the way we run our business. We believe that a high degree of openness strengthens trust in us as a company. That's why it's also natural for us to have transparency in the area of tax."

A central element of STARK Group's tax openness is the annual Tax Impact Report, which provides insight into the Group's total tax contribution across all markets in which it operates. The report includes country-by-country tax payment data, disclosure of activities in low-tax jurisdictions and an overview of tax incentives utilised across the business.

STARK Group has published a dedicated Tax Impact Report since 2022.
