STARK Group-owned Jewson becomes main sponsor of the Western Football League

STARK Group’s British brand Jewson has announced its new role as the main sponsor of the historic Western Football League. The partnership underlines Jewson’s commitment to supporting local communities and grassroots sports.

The sponsorship was officially unveiled during the grand opening of Jewson’s Bridgwater branch earlier this summer. The event was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the Western Football League’s chairman, John Pool, and attended by several players from Bridgwater United FC.

Andy Jordan, regional managing director for Jewson South West, says:

The Western Football League is steeped in history, and we know many of our customers support the teams within it – whether as casual fans or committed followers. So when the opportunity arose to become part of that community, we jumped at the chance.”

The Western Football League, established in 1892, boasts a rich heritage with 42 member clubs spanning Bristol, Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, and parts of Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. Jewson’s sponsorship marks a significant milestone as the league’s clubs prepare for the upcoming season.

John Pool, Chairman of the Western Football League, says:

Jewson has a huge community ethos, which is something that sits alongside our own values as a league. Working together for the betterment of the communities our clubs represent is especially important to us as we move into a new era of possibilities.

Sponsorships play an important role for STARK Group in fostering and maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners, as well as supporting local communities. STARK Group is a proud sponsor of various teams and organisations, including the Danish National Football Team, the Swedish National Ice Hockey Team, the Finnish Olympic Committee, and the German professional ice hockey team Iserlohn Roosters.
