STARK Group expands in the western part of Sweden

STARK Group has, through its subsidiary, Beijer Byggmaterial AB, signed an agreement to acquire Angered Byggvaror AB. The acquisition will strengthen Beijers position in the western part of Sweden, in line with the overall strategy of having a focused local presence.

Angered Byggvaror AB is a family-owned company with two branches. The company has been successfully managed for many years with a solid, local business community consisting of professional builders, both large contractors and local SMEs. The acquisition forms a breeding ground for further growth and a foundation to continue the successful local journey under the Beijer brand.

“I am very pleased to announce this new acquisition in Sweden and to welcome our new colleagues to STARK Group. After bringing Angered Byggvaror AB into the STARK Group family, we will increase our presence in an important part of Sweden, allowing us to offer even better service to our customers,” says Søren P. Olesen, CEO of STARK Group.

Similar to Beijer Byggmaterial, Angered Byggvaror AB has an assortment and format aimed at the professional craftsmen. In addition, they have also invested in logistics development with great success.

“We have had a fantastic journey with our employees and customers. But, for the company to continue its journey, we need to be part of a larger family. With a strong partner like Beijer, we can continue our development and provide our customers with the best offer in the industry," says Anders Henriksson, CEO of Angered Byggvaror AB.

The acquisition is expected to be completed by 1 December 2021. The parties have chosen not to disclose the terms and price of the transaction.
